I was looking for a job that I would enjoy after completing university and Waxy's Glasgow looked like a good place to work.
I have been in Waxy’s Glasgow for about eight years – I have worked as Bar Staff for three years in both a full and part-time position. I got promoted to Supervisor three years ago.
As Supervisor it is my job to open and close the pub and ensure the shift runs smoothly.
I love the family atmosphere amongst the bar/kitchen and management teams. Everyone does what they can to ensure the success of the business.
Organisation of the Glendola Cup 2016 football tournament. It helped all the units in the North integrate together which was a benefit for our new units in Edinburgh to see what a family Glendola really is.
Working well as part of a team and having a sense of humour!
You are trained straight from day one within the unit, when you start you are given a training buddy, and then there are monthly training sessions for the full team.
It's hard work but very rewarding.
We are all treated as a person and management are flexible in fitting work around your life.
You definitely should, there is great training from the start and a lot of opportunity to progress up the ladder within your unit or others.

I would invite the three friends I go to the football with and force our team’s biggest legend John Robertson to join us.
Sydney – not ventured that far and I have a good friend living there that I would visit.
